Newly appointed Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Mohammad Istiyaq Rai has formed a committee to study the problem of embossed number plates and digital driver’s licenses.
Taking office at the ministry on Monday, Minister Rai decided to set up a committee to investigate the matter, saying there was confusion over embossed number plates and digital driver’s licenses could not be obtained on time.
He said that both the task forces have been given 15 days to submit their reports and will move ahead on the path of solving the problem based on the committee’s report. He said that there was a dispute as the embossed number plate was forcibly implemented without preparing the mechanism.
He claimed that the trend of not completing the project on time would end. He informed that a committee has been formed to study the condition of the infrastructure construction project.
