The Federation of Community Forestry Users has burnt the regulations saying that the government has published the gazette by approving the forest regulations against local communities, women, and federalism.
They burnt a copy of the regulations while protesting in the forest premises on Tuesday. They have demanded the repeal of the Forest Regulations saying that forest regulations come to increase policy corruption, go against the declaration of the Community Forest Seventh Workshop, and even go against the Forest Act 2076.
Bharti Pathak, the chairperson of the Federation of Community Forestry Users, alleged that the regulations came against the suggestions given by the federation on the issue of forest regulations. She said that the regulations came against the constitution and frustrated the rights of forest user groups.
She clarified that the regulations brought by the federal government to take all the rights would not be valid under any circumstances.
