After Oli’s actions, the alliance was formed: Deuba

Kathmandu, May 7

After KP Sharma Oli’s outrage, Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba announced the formation of a five-party alliance. Deuba claimed they created the alliance to preserve democratic rights and institutionalize the republic while speaking at an election rally held by the ruling coalition in Butwal.

He claimed that despite the court’s restoring of the unconstitutionally dissolved parliament, the UML refused to let it to function. “What do you do when you win Oli’s party?” he said. “The situation here tomorrow will be the same,” he answered. He said that the government he led was created on the promise of protecting democratic rights in Nepal, and that no one was intimidated by the government and that everyone was free to talk and write.
