Due to misbehavior, 46 temporary police officers lost their positions

Kathmandu, May 7

Police have taken 46 persons into jail for engaging in illegal activities. Those who were
subjected to action were discharged from the military. The arrested persons were involved in drug abuse, abusing others, not going to their assigned positions, not coming to duties on time, making needless remarks, and hitting them, according to Nepal Police Central Spokesperson Bishnu kumar KC.

One of the accused is being held in police custody for rape. He was assigned to the valley of Kathmandu. According to KC, the temporary police should comply to the Nepal Police’s “professional conduct” for 40 days. Non-commercial conduct was displayed by 46 people,
according to KC, and they were penalized.

For election purposes, the government has recruited one lakh temporary police officers. They will be required to work for 40 days. They will be paid Rs 44,440 a month by the government.
