Khimlal Bhattarai, a member of the National Assembly of CPN-UML, has demanded action
against the police officer, saying that there was police excess in the municipal assembly of

In the meeting of the National Assembly on Monday, Bhattarai demanded action against the
police officer saying that it was seen that the DSP pushed the ward president Hari Bahadur
Chhetri into the pond in the incident. He said that the Tilottama case should be investigated, and the truth should be reported to the House. He commented that instead of strengthening federalism, the government is working to weaken it.

Speaking at the meeting, Congress MP Jitendra Narayan Dev emphasized that Nepal’s foreign policy should be uniformity and clear. CPN (Maoist Center) Member of Parliament Bina Pokharel stated that the Citizenship Bill is a sensitive issue related to nationality and expressed the opinion that even though the citizenship method is simple, the policy should be strict.
