Indian Prime Minister Modi canceled the meeting at the last moment

CPN Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has said that the Government of India and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have left no stone unturned to welcome him.
Prachanda, who returned home on Sunday after a three-day visit to India, while talking to
media persons at Tribhuvan Airport, responded that there is no difference between him being the Prime Minister and now visiting as the Chairman of the Maoist Center.

Prachanda claims that his visit to India was a success as expected, and in some context, it was better than expected. Prachanda left for India on Friday at the invitation of JP Nadda, president of India’s ruling party, BJP. Before the visit, he was supposed to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but he returned home without meeting him.

Prachanda said that Indian Prime Minister Modi canceled the meeting at the last moment
during the visit. The reason why the meeting with Modi was called off was also not disclosed.
