Government has decided to accept 59.6 million in loan assistance from the World Bank

 The government has decided to accept 59.6 million in loan assistance from the World Bank.

Announcing the decision of the cabinet at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, government spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the government has decided to accept Rs 59.6 million loan assistance for good governance and infrastructure in the drinking water sector.

The meeting decided to accept US$21 million assistance to reduce green gas emissions.

Spokesperson Karki said that the meeting also decided to accept US dollar grant assistance from Korea for setting up a capable cyber bureau in Nepal Police and to form a negotiating team led by the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance to finalize the concessional loan and grant assistance from the Asian Development Bank for casting and fruits in hilly areas.

The meeting also decided to approve the celebration of Land Registration Day on April 22 every year and to approve the list of 223,330 poor families in 23 different districts, said spokesperson Karki.

The Council of Ministers has appointed Rabindra Jha as the Technical Member and Gokarna Prasad Sitaula as the Audit and Audit Member of the Telecommunication Authority of Nepal and has promoted Dr. Gopi Krishna Khanal as the Joint Secretary for the Gazetted Special Vacancy in the Nepal Administration Service Group.

The meeting also decided to conduct a reunification program for those returning from foreign employment and approve the Legislature Directive 2079.
