Sajha Yatayat starts operation of new electric buses from Thursday

Sajha Yatayat has brought a new electric bus into operation from Thursday. Three electric buses brought from China in the first phase came into operation on Thursday.

Bishwabandhu Thapa, the founder chairman of the Sajha Yatayat, inaugurated the electric bus by showing the green flag.

The Sajha Yatayat informed that the electric buses have been operating on Ratna Park, Airport Route via Thamel New Bus Park, and Lagankhel, Budhanilkantha Route via Ratna Park.

There are women drivers in all three Sajha Yatayat buses. It is said that the other 37 buses will be introduced within the month of Shravan and the service will start before the Dashain.

Sajha Yatayat has expressed confidence that the government will provide land for charging stations for electric buses.
