CPN-UML Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai has said that the finance minister should resign, or the Prime Minister should dismiss him.
Talking to reporters on Wednesday at the Parliament House in New Baneshwor, Bhattarai said that adding outsiders when formulating the budget was a betrayal. He said that since official records were lost and CCTV evidence was deleted, the finance minister&’s intentions were terrible. He said that a further demand was made for the establishment of a parliamentary committee to investigate the incident. He believed that the finance minister should be dismissed, even if an inquiry committee is set up.
He said that other Ministry of Finance employees should be subject to legal action for deleting CCTV recordings.
