Speaking to reporters on Wednesday at the Parliament House in New Baneshwor, Khanal
brought up a number of concerns regarding the finance minister. Both the party in question
and the finance minister have said that a response is required in this situation. No one should be careless in such matters, he added, and the individual in question should accept
responsibility if there is a mistake or weakness. According to Khanal, the incident should be
thoroughly examined in order to reveal the truth. The finance minister needs to resign if the allegations are true. He said that the incident involving the Ministry of Finance was extremely serious and that similar incidents would raise important issues.
For the House to function properly, according to Khanal, a suitable environment must be
established.
