In Dhanusha, two people have been arrested for smuggling 83 lakh 64 thousand rupees.
Ishwor Mandal, 36, and Rajesh Mandal, 19, both of Janakandani Village Municipality-5, are among those arrested.
The Armed Police Force’s Police Inspector Shambhu Katuwal said that they had been kept in check from the Janakandani-Inerwa border.
He said that the police had arrested him as he raced a motorcycle (J7 Pa 5007) back from India with money hidden inside a bag of potatoes.
The two have reportedly been sent to the District Customs Office in Janakpur, according to the Armed Police Force.
