Top leaders of ruling coalition at Baluwatar to discuss SPP

Kathmandu, June 19

The ruling coalition’s top leaders have gathered in Baluwatar, Kathmandu, to discuss the State Partnership Program (SPP) with the United States of America (USA).

Leaders include the Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, and Chairman of Janata Samajbadi Party, Upendra Yavad among others are currently at the Prime Minister’s Office Residence at Baluwatar.

During a previous meeting of the leaders, it was decided that Nepal would send a letter to the United States denying the agreement.

Similarly, the parliament’s International Relations Committee has already directed Prime
Minister Deuba not to sign any agreement or understanding that stands against the country’s non-alignment policy during his upcoming visit to the United States.
