DAP has arrived, and urea starts entering from the first week of Asar: Salt Trading

Kathmandu, June 14

Chemical fertilizers are now being imported by Salt Trading Corporation Limited.

According to the firm, 17,000 metric tons of DAP manure are being distributed through its
depots/sales booths, and 22,000 metric tons of urea manure will begin entering the nation
beginning in the first week of Asar.

The government had given the firm authorization to import 100,000 metric tons, which
included 20,000 metric tons of DAP and 22,000 metric tons of manure. The remaining 3,000 metric tons of DAP have already arrived in Kolkata, India.

Through our depots and sales channels, we are delivering 17,000 metric tons of DAP, or four lakh bags. The remaining 3,000 metric tonnes have already arrived in Kolkata, India,” said Bajresh Jha, the corporation’s departmental manager.

Fertilizer arrives in 50-kilogram bags. He claims that 22,000 metric tons of urea fertilizer, or 440 bags, have already arrived in Kolkata and would begin entering the country within a week.

”22,000 metric tonnes of urea have already arrived in Kolkata and will begin entering the country in the next week,” he added. ”As soon as the urea enters the country, the selling and distribution process begins through the depot/sales room,” he explained.

Farmers might be able to get some relief from the lack of chemical fertilizers around planting season, according to the business.

Urea fertilizer was imported from Indonesia by the company. In the global agricultural market, Indonesian fertilizer is regarded as the best. This time, the government had provided the corporation a subsidy to import a total of one lakh metric tonnes of manure.

This accounts for just 30% of overall subsidized imports. The rest of the government-owned agricultural supplies firm has been given the responsibility. According to reports, the Ministry of Agriculture has given out over Rs. 11 billion in grants this year alone.
