The Maoists defeated the Congress and won the mayor and deputy mayor of Chaurjahari, Rukum

Kathmandu, May 18

The CPN-Maoist has won the mayor and deputy mayorships in Rukum West’s Chaurjahari municipality.

Pushpa Wadi, a Maoist candidate, was elected mayor with 6882 votes.

Prem Bahadur Oli of the Nepali Congress was defeated. O li was elected with 6,311 votes.
The Maoists have also been elected to the position of deputy mayor.

Ishwori Kumari Sharma, a Maoist candidate, was elected deputy mayor. She received 7002
votes.

Tanka Prasad Oli of the CPN-UML was defeated in this election. He received 5744 votes.
