Kathmandu, May 17
Renu Dahal, the CPN-central Maoist candidate for mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, has been catching up. Renu Dahal, the coalition’s mayoral candidate, received 6,566 votes after counting 19,483 votes.
Bijay Subedi of the CPN-UML received 6,369 votes. Jagannath Poudel, an independent
candidate, received 3,199 votes. With 7,978 votes, Chitrasen Adhikari of the Nepali Congress has maintained his lead. RPP’s Himala Gurung earned 5 thousand 229 votes.
