Kathmandu, May 17
The UCPN (MaoistRenu )’s Dahal has retained her mayorship of Bharatpur Metropolitan City.
With 6207 votes, Dahal retained her lead.
Vijay Subedi of the CPN-UML received 6115 votes. Jagannath Poudel, an independent
candidate, received 3022 votes.
With 7558 votes, Chitrasen Adhikari of the Nepali Congress is in first place. RPP’s Himala Gurung is in second place with 5010 votes.
There is electoral cooperation between the Congress and the Maoists in Bharatpur.
