Under heavy security, voting in Jumla’s Garjyangkot begins

Kathmandu, May 15

Today, voting in Jumla’s Gutchaur Gaonpalika-3 Garjyangkot continued.

After a clash in the middle of Shankar Secondary School on May 13, voting was resumed today amid heavy security.

At voting sites, security has been increased. At the polling station is a security team consisting of Chief District Officer Bijaya Kumari Prasai, Nepal Army’s Ganapati Rabin Thapa, Armed Police Battalion No. 33’s Ganapati Chitrangat Dahal, and Deputy Superintendent of Police Narendra Chand.

To assist in voting, a significant number of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Army have been positioned in the outer circle.

The polling would be conducted without fear, according to Election Officer Shambhu Gautam.

320 votes were cast in this polling station with 1007 voters, however, the election was
postponed, therefore re-polling was performed.

By the time the report is available, 188 ballots had been cast, according to Returning Officer Tulraj Chaulagai.
