JSP candidate wins ward chairmanship in Siraha

Kathmandu, May 15

By a margin of 100 votes, Mahesh Kumar Yadav (Pintu) of the Janata Samajbadi Party has won the ward chairmanship of Siraha Municipality ward no. 1.

Yadav received 511 votes while his nearest rival Rajdev Yadav of the Nepali Congress polled 411 votes.

In the local level election held in 2017, he had won the ward chairman from the Nepali
Congress.

After being denied a ticket by the Nepal Congress, he left the party and competed for ward
chairman for the JSP Nepal.
