Kathmandu, May 14
Balen Sah, an independent candidate for mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, is in the lead.
Out of 75 votes cast, Balen received 22, Nepali Congress candidate Sirjana Singh received 18, CPN-UML candidate Keshav Sthapit received 13, and RPP candidate Madan Das Shrestha received three.
The counting of votes in Kathmandu Metropolitan City wards 1 and 32 is beginning, according to the Office of the Returning Officer.
