UML panel wins in Taplejung’s Meringden-6

Kathmandu, May 14

CPN (UML) has won the election in Meringden village municipality-6 ward of Taplejung.
In the counting of votes held in Nalbu of Meringden rural municipality-6, the UML panel won the ward chairperson and members.

UML’s Manoj Kumar Tumbahamphe won 456 votes, according to Meringden Election Officer
Shambhu Regmi. The CPN (Unified Socialist)’s Thakur Singh Limbu got 324 votes. There is a difference of 132 votes in the ward chairman.

Women’s ward member Yangde Sherpa, Dalit women’s member Dil Kumari BK, open members Naradhwaj Limbu and Bhim Kumar Sherpa have emerged victorious.

NC, Unified Socialists, and CPN (Maoist Center) had formed an alliance in this ward.
