In India, 27 people were killed in a four-story building fire

Kathmandu, May 14

A fire at a business building in Mundaka, west of the Indian capital Delhi, has killed at least 27 persons.

A fire that broke out in a four-story building injured 12 additional people. Sanjay Gandhi
Hospital has been informed of the injuries. A total of 60 persons were rescued from the
structure. Some people were still trapped within the structure, according to police.

A short circuit is believed to have started the fire. Two people were arrested after the fire,
according to the Hindustan Times. Narendra Modi has extended his condolences to the family of the deceased.

Modi has promised to provide each deceased person’s family Rs 200,000.
