Kathmandu, May 13
KP Sharma Oli, the chairperson of the CPN-UML, has projected that the UML will win more
seats in the municipal elections than the other five parties combined.
UML Chairman Oli told media after the polling in Balkot, Bhaktapur, on Friday that the results would be in favor of the party. He claimed that even the Nepali Congress would not be able to fight alone and that the UML would gather more than five parties together.
Oli also accused Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba of attempting to push the election back to April 22. In a statement released Friday, he rejected the charges, saying, “Similar, unfounded allegations concerning his health have been made more than once.”
