Re-polling in Simta of Surkhet on Monday

Re-polling in Simta of Surkhet on Monday

Kathmandu, May 15

Surkhet’s Bhagwati Secondary School, Khaneta Center, Simta Gaonpalika-1 will begin voting on Monday.

Due to the stress surrounding the finding of voting papers without the signature of the polling officer, polling will be postponed until Monday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Chief Election Officer and employees from the Provincial Election Office, including the
polling officer, will arrive at the polling station today with the appropriate supplies, including
vote papers, according to Election Officer Narayan Sapkota. The previously appointed polling officer and other election personnel were also removed after the re-polling.

The District Election Security Coordinating Committee is also planning to send more security officers. In East Surkhet, there are 839 voters in the voting station. Because the polling was postponed, the counting of ballots in Simta village municipality has yet to begin.
