In 9 months, Birgunj customs imported Rs 521 billion

In the first nine months of the current fiscal year, most items were imported from the Birgunj customs office. Birgunj imported Rs 521.69 billion in the last nine months, according to the customs agency.

The majority of products are imported from Birgunj through the current customs checks.

Since then, the Bhairahawa customs office has imported more than Rs. 230,090 million.

Bhairahawa Customs Office is ranked second in terms of imports, according to the agency.

During that time, commodities worth Rs 171.81 billion were imported from Tribhuvan
International Airport, which has 25 customs offices. Imports from Biratnagar totaled Rs 165.17 billion, while imports from Birgunj dry port totaled Rs 166.99 billion.

In addition, in the previous nine months, products worth Rs. 32.6 million have been imported through Kathmandu’s newly opened Chobhar Dry Port. According to the department, Rs 115.3 million was imported from Rajbiraj Customs and Rs 134.1 million was imported from Tandhi Customs.
