Home Minister Bal Krishna Khan has said that it is the responsibility of the government to
organize the local elections in a clean, fair, peaceful, and fearless environment.
Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has directed security agencies to help organize the May 13 local elections fairly and impartially as the government has shouldered the responsibility to this effect.
Minister Khand, who is also an NC leader, addressed a gathering of Nepali Congress (NC) cadres in Rajbiraj, Saptari district, on Thursday and urged all political parties to participate in the election in a cordial way.
He urged people to vote for the NC to safeguard and strengthen democracy, claiming that
changes in the country would be accelerated following the election.
