Undeclared load shedding in the industry is unacceptable, according to Shekhar Golchha,
President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Golchha said it was unacceptable for the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) to carry out
unannounced load shedding during a pre-budget engagement event conducted by the
federation on Saturday.
”It is not acceptable to have undeclared load shedding to businesses. ”In recent times such landslides have driven the economy to the edge of collapse and generated more challenges for enterprises,” he added. ”The country will not be enlightened by keeping the industrialists in the dark.”
He stated that the private sector contributes 75% of the entire economy and that the
government should concentrate on resolving the problems of the private sector.
