Tourist arrivals declined in April, with only 35,000 arriving

Kathmandu, May 2

Tourist arrivals declined in the fourth month of 2022 (April) compared to the previous month (March).

The largest number of visitors (42,006) since the coronavirus epidemic in March. According to the Nepal Tourism Board, there were just 35,871 visitor arrivals in April. In 2021, the
Coronavirus outbreak was at its peak. Only 1,468 people arrived in the fourth month of the
year.

The Coronavirus outbreak began in Nepal in the year 2020. In April of this year, when Corona had no effect, there were about 1 lakh 9 thousand 399 visitor arrivals.

This month, a total of 52,663 visitors have left Nepal. Due to climbing visitors, the number had risen dramatically in the previous month.

In 2022, visitors’ arrival:

January: 16,975
February: 19,766
March: 42,006
April: 35,871
