Supreme Court hearing Governor Adhikari’s writ today

Kathmandu, April 26

Today, the Supreme Court (SC) is hearing the writ petition filed by Governor Maha Prasad
Adhikari of Nepal Rastra Bank.

The writ petition would be heard by a joint bench of Justices Sapana Malla and Tanka Bahadur Mokta. The government suspended Adhikari on April 8.

On April 20, the Supreme Court issued a short-term interim order allowing Adhikari to resume his duties. He attended his duties on April 9.

The bench will decide whether or not to continue the interim order in place today.
In case the interim order is discontinued, the officer will remain suspended again.
