Nepal’s foreign trade with 162 countries: 130 with a deficit

Nepal has international trade agreements with 130 countries in the first nine months of the
current fiscal year 2078/79. Nepal has a trade deficit with 130 nations, while just 32 countries have a positive trade balance.

Nepal’s trade with Kyrgyzstan, Saint Helena, Ghana, Senegal, Iceland, Bermuda, Congo, Mauritania, Micronesia, Sierra Leone, Jamaica, Fiji, Azerbaijan, Mauritius, Croatia, and the Maldives were profitable in the previous nine months, according to the customs department.

Georgia, Trinidad and Tobago, Malta, Zambia, Armenia, Yemen, Central African Republic,
Afghanistan, New Caledonia, Guinea, Niger, Algeria, Denmark, and Cambodia are all profitable markets for Nepal.

India, China, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Argentina, the United States, Ukraine,
Australia, Malaysia, Brazil, Bangladesh, Thailand, Canada, South Korea, Vietnam, Switzerland, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Paraguay, and Singapore are among Nepal’s international trade deficit nations. Russia and South Africa are two countries that have a lot in common.

Japan, the Netherlands, France, Taiwan, Egypt, Hong Kong, Qatar, Myanmar, Germany, the
United Kingdom, Mozambique, Belgium, Italy, Poland, Israel, New Zealand, the Czech Republic, Bahrain, Bhutan, the Philippines, Spain, Lithuania, Ireland, Pakistan, and the Czech Republic. In addition, Nepal has a trade deficit with Mexico.

Nepal’s overall international trade in the last nine months was Rs. 1,627.23 billion. Nepal’s trade imbalance at that time was Rs. 136.89 billion.

Nepal imported products worth Rs. 1466.66 billion in the first nine months of the current fiscal year. Nepal has exported items worth Rs. 160.57 billion in the same time period.
