Dealing with Russian aggression, two US ministers have landed in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital.

The US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin arrived in Kyiv on Sunday, according to The New York Times.

He met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv. On February 24, Russia started a
special military operation against Ukraine. Following the Russian invasion, Western nations,
particularly the US, placed severe sanctions on Russia and supported Ukraine with a variety of weaponry and aid.

Meanwhile, Russian soldiers have withdrawn from Kyiv and are concentrating their attacks on eastern Ukraine’s Donbas area. European leaders, like British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, had already visited Kyiv, but this was the first-time top US officials had visited Ukraine since the Russian invasion.

Officials from the United States have made no remark on Blinken’s or Austin’s visit. At this point, it is uncertain what he will do after leaving the position.
