Kathmandu, April 21
The Nepali Congress (NC) has recommended five candidates for mayor of Kathmandu
Metropolitan City.
The party’s Metropolitan Committee recommended the names of five individuals to the
Bagmati Provincial Committee, including Sirjana Singh, the spouse of NC leader Prakash Man Singh.
The meeting has recommended the names of Nilkaji Shakya, Sirjana Singh, Hari Prabha Khadgi Shrestha, Susan Vaidha and Pragatiman Ranjit.
The ruling coalition has already decided to give the post of Kathmandu mayor to NC and deputy mayor to the Unified Socialist Party.
