UML is making public its views on the country’s economy

Kathmandu, April 10

The CPN-UML is expressing its thoughts on the country’s economic situation.

At 12:30 p.m., the UML will hold a news conference at Hotel Himalaya in Kupondole, Lalitpur, to make the party’s position public.

A news conference will be conducted in the presence of three former finance ministers,
according to CPN-UML Publicity Department Deputy Chief Bishnu Rijal. Bishnu Poudel, Surendra Pandey, and Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada will speak at the news conference. Dinesh Chandra Devkota and Pushpa Kandel, both former Vice-Chairmen of the National Planning Commission, are expected to attend, according to Dr. Rijal.

At the same news conference, a formal opinion on Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari’s
suspension at a time when the economy is in crisis would be given.

Leaders, including CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, have been protesting Governor Adhikari’s suspension.
