During his visit to Kyiv, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson agreed to give 120 armored
vehicles and a new anti-ship missile system to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
”This is due to the failure of Putin’s reckless scheme due to Zelensky’s unshakable leadership and the courage of the Ukrainian people,” a statement from the British Prime Minister’s Office, Downing Street, stated.
Boris Johnson promised Ukraine a 500 million UK guarantee from the World Bank during his
visit. It does, however, require British Parliament permission. So far, the UK has provided
Ukraine a $1 billion credit guarantee. In addition, in order to boost the economy, the UK will grant tax discounts on most items imported from Ukraine.
Boris Johnson, the British Prime Minister, stated: ”Ukraine has overcome the challenges and forced Russia’s forces back through Kyiv’s borders. I’d want to say with certainty that Britain is and will be committed to Ukraine in this battle.”
