Bulgaria is expected to get more than a 1.6-billion-dollar fighter planes from the United States.

The US has agreed to sell a number of F-16 fighter jets to Eastern European countries as part of their attempts to modernize their military.

The deal was approved by the Department of State on Monday. It features a lot of missiles,
sensors, and displacement pieces in addition to the eight fighter airplanes. According to the US Defense Corps, this contains 1.67 billion people (DSCA).

”The proposed sale will help the United States achieve its foreign policy and national security objectives. It will increase NATO members’ security ”According to the agency. This will allow the Bulgarian Air Force to fly modern fighter planes in the Black Sea region on a regular basis.

The DSCA, on the other hand, stated that the sale was not a replacement for a fundamental military balance in the region. If parliament give its approval, US contractors would stay in Bulgaria for three years to provide logistical support for the planes.

Lockheed Martin produces this fighter jet, which is one of the greatest multi-role fighter jets in the American arsenal. Currently, 25 militaries throughout the globe utilize the aircraft. Bulgaria, a NATO member since 2004, has turned to use the old Soviet-era MiG-29 fighter plane as an alternative to displacement.
