Speaker Sapkota’s special request to end the impasse in the parliament

Kathmandu, March 13

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has called for an end to the impasse in the House of
Representatives (HoR) and help in moving House proceedings forward.

At the meeting of the HoR on Sunday, Speaker Sapkota, reminding that the law-making process was affected due to the obstruction of the parliament, requested the assistance of
parliamentary parties in the functioning of the House.

The UML has been obstructing the House for long putting forth a list of demands.

CPN-UML lawmaker Bhim Rawal said the government was tight-lipped over India’s unilateral operation of a dozer in Bangabagar, Darchula district, during today’s HoR meeting
He decreed government apathy towards the Indian encroachment of Nepali territory.
