Kathmandu, March 14
Rajesh Ray Yadav has been elected President of the Nepali Congress’s Bara district chapter.
With 1,206 votes, he got elected to the post.
His nearest rival Shambhu Bahadur Budhathoki received 1,155 votes.
According to Chief Election Commissioner Gangeshwar Prasad Adhikari, 29 votes in the election were declared invalid.
President Yadav, who was recently re-elected, pledged that the party would move forward in unison. “We have no option but to work together to make the NC victorious in the local level election,” he said.
