Kathmandu, March 10
Officials claim a Russian airstrike in the southern Ukrainian city of Mariupol destroyed a
maternity facility and a pediatric ward. The incident was dubbed a ‘war crime’ by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Human evacuation attempts are being underway at six separate places to safeguard people from Russian military assaults, according to Zelensky.
After the incident, the hospital was said to be entirely destroyed. Mariupol City Council stated, ‘The destruction is enormous.’ The hospital attack has been condemned by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who has called it ‘horrific.’
Russian military hit Mariupol after the city of Sumi proclaimed a brief truce. Meanwhile, the
foreign ministers of Ukraine and Russia have arrived in Turkey for peace talks.
