Nepal received a gift of 2.61 billion dollars from Japan

Kathmandu, March 10

Nepal has received a grant of Rs. 2.31 billion from the Japanese government.

A grant exchange letter was signed on Thursday, according to the Ministry of Finance.

Finance Secretary Madhu Kumar Marasini and Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Kikuta Yutaka both signed the letter.

According to the Ministry, the grant money would go towards the execution of the Biratnagar Drinking Water Improvement Project. Japan is one of Nepal’s most generous benefactors.
