Following a close-run race, South Korea’s opposition candidate Yoon Suk-yeol has been elected as the country’s next president.
Conservative leader Yoon called his win a “victory of the great people”.
Wednesday’s election saw a high turnout, with more than three-quarters of eligible voters
casting their ballots.
Voters were most concerned about rising house prices, stagnant economic growth, and
persistent youth unemployment.
