Kathmandu, January 13
Real Madrid beat Barcelona 3-2 at home in the first semi-final of the Spanish Super.
Real beat Barcelona after Federico Valverde scored the decisive goal in extra time.
Barcelona made a comeback after Real took a two-goal lead at the King Fahd International
Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Vinicius Jr. scored in the 25th minute to give Real the lead. But in the 41st minute, Luke de Jong equalized for Barcelona in the first half.
Karim Benzema scored in the 72nd minute to give Real the lead again. But Anshu Fati equalized for Barcelona in the 83rd minute. After the match ended 2-2, 30 minutes of extra time was added. Real won the toss and elected to field.
Real will now face Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao winners for the title on Sunday. The
second semifinal will be between Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.
