Covid-19 Management Committee formed under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pandey

The cabinet meeting of Bagmati Pradesh has formed Kovid-19 Management Committee. The meeting formed a 19-member committee under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Rajendra Prasad Pandey.

The member secretary of the committee will be the secretary of the chief minister’s office. According to Krishna Prasad Sharma Khanal, spokesperson of the state government and Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, the cabinet meeting has extended the service period of 479 contracted technical staff in the health sector by six months.

Last year, when the Kovid-19 epidemic broke out, 479 technical staff were retained, but their terms were coming to an end only by mid-December. Minister Khanal informed that it has been decided to extend his contract. The meeting has made an arrangement to reduce the impact of the Covid epidemic on the FM radios and televisions registered in the state by waiving the renewal fee completely and now only one percent tax can be paid by giving 50 percent discount to those who have been collecting 2 percent tax.

Similarly, it has been decided to move ahead with the process of setting up a transport
management office in Bharatpur of Chitwan. Minister Khanal said that it has been decided to request the federal government for the acquisition of land required for the establishment of the office.
