Minister for Urban Development Ram Kumari Jhankri has expressed commitment that the
government will take steps to use interior design in the field of development. Addressing the annual general meeting of the Interior Designers Association of Nepal (Idea Nepal) held in Kathmandu, Minister Jhankri stressed on the need to use it in the field of development as the field of interior has always been overshadowed.
Speaking on the occasion, Bindra Kakshapati Pradhan, President of Idea Nepal, said that Idea Nepal is committed to the development of the field of interior design and the upliftment and progress of related interior designers. Chairperson Kakshapati urged the government to include interior in the formulation of policies and regulations as interior design is directly or indirectly related to well-organized living, people’s lifestyle, social civilization and production of any office or work area.
Rabindra Puri was also given special honors and an honorary membership of Idea Nepal for his contribution in the field of Nepali architecture.
