Mainali elected UML chairperson of Nuwakot

Badri Mainali has been elected as the chairman of CPN-UML Nuwakot. Mainali has been
unanimously elected as the chairperson of the CPN-UML’s seventh district convention.

The convention, which started on Friday, ended on Sunday with the selection of leadership.
Buddhi Bahadur Pradhan has been elected as the Vice President, Sudarshan Nepal as the
Secretary, Kashiraj Adhikari and Neelkantha Acharya as the Deputy Secretaries.

Constituency Coordinator Keshav Raj Panda informed that the 105-member district committee including the office bearers was unanimously elected. A total of 763 people’s representatives had participated in the three-day district convention.

The closed session of the convention on Saturday started the election process by passing the political report, economic report and organizational report with discussion. Mainali, who was elected as the chairperson, was the vice chairperson of the previous district committee.

He served as the district chairman for some time after the Supreme Court established the CPN-UML and the Maoist center in the CPN-UML. Mainali is currently a member of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly.
