Students in the age group of 12 to 17 years will be vaccinated against corona from today

The government has launched a campaign to vaccinate students in the age group of 12 to 17 years against the corona virus in 57 districts of the country from today.

Ministry of Health and Population spokesperson Dr. Sangeeta Kaushal Mishra informed that the first dose of modern vaccine will be given to the students from Paush 4 to 14.

According to spokesperson Mishra, the child targeted vaccination campaign will be launched in 10 districts of Province No. 1, five districts of Province No. 2, Kathmandu Valley of Bagmati Province and seven districts except Chitwan.

Similarly, a vaccination campaign is being launched in nine districts of Gandaki, nine districts of Lumbini, nine districts of Karnali and seven districts of Far West. The ministry has stated that the second batch will be conducted for the students of those districts from Magh 2 to 12.

The ministry is conducting Pfizer vaccination campaign in 19 districts including Sindhuli and 20 districts including Sindhuli for chronic patients above 12 years of age.

Similarly, the ministry is administering the first dose of Pfizer vaccine to the children of
Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kavrepalanchok, Chitwan, Sindhuli, Dadeldhura and Surkhet from 13 to 22 Paush. The second phase will be conducted in those districts from Magh 4 to 13, according to the ministry.
