Droupadi Murmu becomes the 15th President of India

Smt. Droupadi Murmu becomes the first tribal woman president of India. She is a former Governor of Jharkhand and has also served the country as a Minister from 2000 to 2004.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has congratulated Draupadi Murmu on her election as the fifteenth President of India.

In a tweet, President Bhandari expresses her complete trust in Murmu’s ability to take bilateral cooperation to an unprecedented level.

Likewise, Murmu has received congratulations from Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba for being chosen as the 15th President of India.

The newly elected President Murmu’s term will see a new high in bilateral relations, according to Prime Minister Deuba, who indicated this in a tweet.
