CPN-UML MP Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has accused the government of keeping silent despite the excessive price increase of essential commodities.
At the special time of the meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, he drew the attention of the government to control the price increase as the price of food has increased by 40 percent.
He said that even though the life of the people is becoming very difficult due to the increase in the prices of food, petrol, diesel, construction materials, etc., it is very sad that the government remains silent.
He said that the government should work keeping in mind the lives of the people who are below the 17 percent poverty line.
MP Gyawali said that since the people cannot drink quality water, they are forced to buy water from jars and because Melamchi is dim due to the rainy season, there is a problem with water.
