The government is going to investigate the fire at the warehouse of the Social Welfare Council at Bhrikutimandap.
Uma Regmi, the minister for women, children, and senior citizens, announced that a committee will be set up to investigate the fire’s origins when she inspected the scene on Thursday.
She expressed concern that the lack of electricity in the warehouse may have been an intentional attempt to cause the fire. She claimed that the fire damaged the property and destroyed important records and supplies. Action would be taken against those responsible for the fire, she declared.
On Wednesday, a fire destroyed the warehouse.
