On Tuesday, 281 Nepali students who returned because of the Covid-19 pandemic without finishing their studies will travel back to China now. 281 students would be able to complete their studies in the first batch as a result of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, and Chinese Embassy in Nepal’s effort.

After the Chinese government implemented a strict strategy against the Covid-19 outbreak, Nepali students who returned home were left stuck. The Chinese embassy has reportedly received a list of 850 Nepali students through diplomatic channels, according to SewaLamsal, a spokesperson for the foreign ministry.

The State Department also stated that it will notify the US in writing of its decision not to participate in the US State Partnership Program at the proper time (SPP). The decision made by the Council of Ministers about the SPP has been received, according to Foreign Spokesperson Lamsal, and is being examined. A draft SPP agreement between the US National Guard and the Nepal Army in Utah was leaked, creating a significant political issue. On June 20, the Council of Ministers voted against joining the SPP and notified the US through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Kantipur Online, spokesperson Lamsal also said that discussions over Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s trip to the United States are in progress. It takes time to choose a date as you must complete your preparations for the visit in stages, he added. We will let you know when the time is right.

Similar to this, the Nepalese government has decided to place a military alliance in the embassy there. After the military alliance with South Korea grew, it was deemed that the Nepal Army needed an ally. Currently, the United States, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the United Kingdom, and India are allies of Nepal’s military. The UN’s New York headquarters also provides a position for a military colleague. The colonel has been employed as a soldier. The only position for an end companion that belongs to the Nepal Police is in India.

The preparation for the second round of negotiations between the British government and the Nepali delegation about the claims of former British Gurkha soldiers has begun. On June 20 and 22, a mission from Nepal headed by Ambassador Gyan Chandra Acharya of Nepal to the United Kingdom met with a team led by Minister of State for Defense Leo Docherty of the British Government’s Ministry of Defense.

On March 29, the Nepali government agreed to send a delegation to have negotiations with the ex-Gurkha troops to find a solution to their issues. The negotiations would be overseen by Nepali Ambassador Acharya. Bhupu British Gorkha sent a delegate on his behalf as soon as the government named the leader of the Nepali team.
