Sher Bahadur Deuba, the Prime Minister, has stated that the administration is unable to
achieve what it desires since Congress is not alone. On Sunday, Prime Minister Deuba
addressed the National Conference of the Nepal Trade Union Congress, saying that the Nepal Trade Union Congress should not make too many demands because Congress was not the sole government.
”One thing to remember is that the government is not just composed of members of Congress,” he remarked. Some of you have brought up some very crucial points. Some of them were included in the budget. If not, we’ll take care of it.
”He stated that the government was committed to protecting employees’ rights and providing them with required amenities. Prime Minister Deuba stated that the constitution and laws of Nepal have guaranteed workers’ rights and that the government is dedicated to fully implementing them.
He stated that the labor market has been impacted by the current Russia-Ukraine conflict, and that in such a circumstance, all parties involved must pay attention to solving worker
difficulties.
