Kathmandu, June 12
Gagan Thapa, the General Secretary of the Nepali Congress (NC), has suggested waste disposal tips for the Kathmandu Valley.
Even though the authorities in authority have started collecting garbage in the Kathmandu
Valley, Thapa has suggested a long-term garbage management solution.
He appreciated Mayor Balendra Shah of Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Urban Development Minister Ram Kumari Jhankri’s waste management activities.
According to him, the residents of the Sisdol and Bancharedada area who took part in the
discussion held by the Ministry of Urban Development said that this was the 175th agreement reached between them and the government on waste management.
According to Thapa, such agreements are reached but not implemented.
Therefore, he has raised skepticism over the implementation of the latest agreement reached between the Sisol and Bancharedanda locals and the government recently.
